Understanding "God is Not Mocked"
"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." - Galatians 6:7
This profound biblical truth reminds us that our actions have consequences that follow natural spiritual laws. Just as a farmer who plants corn will harvest corn—not wheat or barley—our choices inevitably yield corresponding results.
When Scripture says "God is not mocked," it doesn't mean God is sensitive to insults. Rather, it means we cannot circumvent the moral order He established. We might temporarily fool ourselves or others, but the universe's moral architecture remains.
Whether through immediate consequences or the gradual unfolding of time, what we cultivate in our hearts and actions will eventually bear fruit. Those who sow kindness reap relationships. Those who sow discipline reap achievement. Those who sow selfishness ultimately reap isolation.
What seeds are you planting today? Remember, tomorrow's harvest begins with today's choices.
